Full Backup

Incremental backup

When restoring incremental backups, you determine which version of the files should be restored based on the following
incremental backups and full initial backups.
Differential Backup
• is based on an algorithm that compares the data of a file to copy to the one already copied, only stores the changes made to the files
after the last full backup. As a result, differential images will become larger as time goes by
when the last full backup was performed. Differential backup is useful, in particular, for large files and
which require a full and daily backup, such as business databases.
System Image Backup
• performs a snapshot of the operating system and enables quick recovery if the system is corrupted or unable to boot.
